UNITY STAR: Peace Film Series: Crip Camp (DIV 566)

Friday, March 18, 2022 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Crip camp is the story of how a group of teens turned their summer experiences at camp Jened into a catalyst for civil activism and follows their fight for accessibility legislation that would transform lives and shape the future of the disability rights movement. The film depicts the experiences of campers up to the present day highlighting a powerful journey towards inclusion.

Please note: Pre-registration is REQUIRED by no later than three days prior to the start of the workshop. Film must be viewed prior to the debrief and discussion session. Registrants will receive a link to access the film. Registrants also will receive a link to join the Zoom session. Video and audio access is required.
