Building Classroom Community with Intentional Design

Wednesday, April 20, 2022 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Creating an engaging, supportive classroom environment should be intentional and reflect a teacher's beliefs about teaching and learning. This KnightEd Talk focuses on creating elementary classroom environments that nurture curiosity, promote independence, elevate problem solving, and build community. The physical environment, daily routines, and rituals directly support academic and social emotional learning. As a beginning teacher, you are not decorating your first classroom. You are laying the groundwork for building a positive, productive, and joyful learning space.

Presenter: Mrs. Terry Torbert
