Florida Historical Society 2023 Annual Meeting and Symposium

The History Department is hosting this year's Florida Historical Society Annual Meeting and Symposium.

Join us for academic paper presentations and panel discussions from professional historians, graduate students, and more, on Florida history and culture.

The 11th Annual Jerrell H. Shofner Lecture on Florida History & Culture will also take place. Speakers Dr. Patricia Silver and Dr. Simone Delerme and Moderator Dr. Elizabeth Aranda will discuss "Puerto Ricans in Florida."

Dr. Silver is a Research Scholar with the Ronin Institute.

Dr. Delerme is the McMullan Associate Professor of Southern Studies and an Associate Professor of Anthropology at the University of Mississippi.

Dr. Aranda is a Professor of Sociology and the Director of the Im/migrant Well-Being Research Center in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of South Florida.
