Grant Writing Academy: Competitive Proposal Development for the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD)

Wednesday, September 4, 2024 10 a.m. to noon

Dr. Peter Delfyett, a distinguished Pegasus Professor within the UCF College of Optics and Photonics, will facilitate this session.

Several strong/weak U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) proposal writing examples will be discussed to demonstrate best practices. A brief overview of the DOD proposal review process, the pros and cons of communicating with the DOD program manager before proposal submission, developing an impactful quad chart, discussion of the budget, developing the evaluation/assessment plan and common mistakes to avoid will be discussed.

Participation is only open for faculty researchers approved by their college leadership and selected by the Office of Research.
