The National Science Foundation recently released the guidelines for the 2026 Graduate Research Fellowship Competition. If you are an advanced undergraduate planning to pursue a graduate research degree or first year graduate student in an NSF-supported field, you may be eligible to apply for this prestigious award totaling over $150,000 in funding toward graduate study.
This session will provide you with an overview of program requirements and review criteria and will begin to prepare you to draft the written statement required as part of your application. Additionally, the session will connect you to campus resources that can support you as you develop and submit your application. All students who are considering an application to this fellowship program are encouraged to attend.
During this session, you will hear from Dr. Laurie A. Pinkert, Director of Writing Across the Curriculum and Associate Professor of Writing and Rhetoric, who has served as a reviewer for this fellowship program and has mentored more than 25 UCF students across disciplines who have received the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship.
