Trip Description: Join Outdoor Adventure for a relaxing paddle along the famously clear Emerald Cut of the Wekiva River. This scenic section winds through lush jungle-like foliage, offering chances to see fish, turtles, and wading birds beneath the canopy. After a peaceful float, we’ll stop for a picnic by the water and enjoy an afternoon in one of Central Florida’s most beloved spring runs.

Tentative Itinerary (time and activities are subject to change):

  • 7:30 AM – Arrive to the Outdoor Adventure Center and travel to the Wekiva River/Rock Springs Run
  • 9:45 AM-2:00 PM – Kayak Rock Springs Run/Emerald Cut on Wekiva River
  • 2:00 PM – Load kayaks and head back to UCF
  • 3:00 PM – Arrive back at Outdoor Adventure Center

What’s Included: All of our adventures include all necessary gear for the activity (including canoes, paddles, PFDs, etc.), transportation to/from the activity, and professional guidance by OA Trip Leaders. All staff are certified in First Aid/CPR/AED, and most are certified Wilderness First Responders.

What’s Not Included: Participants should wear athletic clothing, appropriate footwear, and bring personal lunch/water/snacks. Meals are not provided. A full packing list will be provided at the Pre-Trip Meeting.
