The Rules Clinic is the first step for prospective officials for this sport. Rules clinics cover everything that a prospective student needs to know about the sport that includes rules, policies & procedures, positioning and mechanics. Students that are interested in officiating must attend one rules clinic and one field clinic to be hired for the sport.
The Field Clinic is geared towards those students that intend to be hired as a referee at the RWC. Rules clinics will go in depth into the rules of the specific sport and field clinics cover “on field” or “on court” procedures needed to become an official. Attendance of one rules and one field clinic is mandatory for students interested and being hired, as well as those returning to work.
