To support the needs of preK-12 educators during this unprecedented time, the UCF Literacy Symposium is offering an express virtual event on Literacy Engagement and Socio-Emotional Learning for educators, parents, literacy friends and advocates. This series of timely, live, interactive and virtual professional learning sessions will be offered virtually each month for free to registered participants.

Space is limited, so register to attend

Session Description: A child’s social-emotional well-being and academic learning are interdependent. Given today’s accelerated learning expectations, there is a great need for teachers to simultaneously address emotional self-regulation and develop early literacy skills within an MTSS framework. (Audience: Grades PreK-3)

Presenter: Dr. Dena Slanda, UCF College of Community Innovation and Education, Exceptional Education Program
