At 6 p.m. on Nov. 6 — the night before the annual Space Game — Student Government will be giving away free T-shirts, snacks and slushies provided by Coca-Cola. There will also be music, special guests, fun attractions, a mechanical rocket and a drone show at 8:45 p.m.
As part of UCF Space Week, the university’s Inaugural SpaceU Awards Dinner will honor excellence and innovation within the space ecosystem, recognizing partners, faculty, students, and industry leaders who exemplify our mission as America’s Space University. Nicky Fox, NASA’s associate administrator for Science Mission Directorate, to keynote, and Marc Daniels will serve as MC.Note: This is an invite-only event.

The UCF Percussion Ensemble is joined by Anders Åstrand, a renowned Swedish percussionist and composer, to perform a diverse program of his works. Under the direction of Thad Anderson, the UCF Percussion Ensemble frequently performs with guest artists and collaborates with composers to commission and premiere new works for the genre.
